Big Loss for Vasse

Vasse Ravens 0 V 7 Margaret River

Vasse hosted Margaret River on saturday for the first time this season & it started out to be an even game with close chances at both ends of the field. Vasse had numerous opportunities but didn't test Rivers keeper enough sending every shot straight to her hands.

At the other end Rivers forwards had a hard time getting past Somer & Brooke but when they did with some fancy footwork Ashleigh made some brilliant saves for Vasse go to the break nil all.

Vasse bearing 11 players after an injury in the first saw River keep the pace up & run rings around Vasse in the 2nd half.

For most of the half Vasse found themselves in there own defensive half & the lack of picking up free players gave River the chances to put the goals away. Brooke & Eliza tried to create some plays down the wing only to run out of legs & unable to keep up with Margaret River. Full credit to Margaret River who showed strong passing & great team work & will continue to strengthen throughout the season under the guidance of Tim, lots to take away from the game & improve on with Vasse taking their first league loss 0-7.

Next meet will be against Dynamos @ Forrest Park
