Margaret River's Rovers Dedicated Show of Teamwork

Margaret River's Rovers gave another dedicated show of teamwork on Saturday against GMAS FC in Busselton.

GMAS confidently took the lead with an early goal and gave the Rovers some trouble in midfield with solid tackles and passing.

Good cooperation between the Rovers goalie and defenders prevented any further goals in the first half by GMAS , who continued to play well, but the Rovers struggled to create opportunities for shots on goal themselves.

Early in the second half GMAS played well and scored twice more, and this could have affected the Rovers confidence. Instead the Rovers dug deep and upped the tempo. There were some great one-on-one battles between the teams with some fancy footwork from player of the day Archie Dowden and fast paced attacks from Monique Armstrong. But when the Rovers support one another they look stronger and working together led to a smooth goal scored by Ben Cox and another from Scooter Liew

Overall an evenly matched game with plenty of action for the spectators and played in great spirit by both teams.
