Margaret River Derby Winners

Margaret River Titans V Margaret River Bombies

It was an all Margaret River derby with the Margaret River Titans taking on fellow club member the Bombies. The Bombies started strongly and caught the Titans defence napping, knocking in the first goal of the game from a quality corner kick.

The Titans wasted no time in replying with an equaliser about a minute later by Oscar through a great individual effort. Xavier Skivinis, back for his first game of the season, was proving a handful for the Bombies defence making some solid penetrating runs up front.

Joe was again non stop in the midfield with some great passing and set up several goals. The back line of Dorian, Tristan and Wesley was rock solid with all players tackling everything that moved. Dorian must have had a double breakfast before the game as he seemed to have unlimited energy making some solid runs where he beat several players.

Noah came on out wide and was immediately involved in the action with some great first time passes. He teamed up well with Joe and managed to knock in a quality goal. Thomas out on the left flank was proving very hard to get around, stopping numerous attacks from the Bombies.

After another half time orange festival the Titans came out ready for action. Phillip and Kynan entered the forward line and gave the team some great width up front. Both players gave their all and are looking better every week.

Team Captain Jarra lead by example and as usual regularly found himself in space out wide. Jarra is proving to be a great specialist winger. The Titans second half gloveman Ryan was busy between the sticks making some quick goal kicks which resulted in rapid counter attacks, one of which leading to a goal. It was a good performance by all Titans players.

If we continue to pass the ball, back each other up, and play our positions, we will be very hard to beat. Go the Titans !
