It was cold and horrible weather on Barnard Park as the beach wind blew in. Dunsborough had travelled down with only 9 players not only struggling with subs but with the bare minimum on the pitch.
From the very first second Dunsborough showed that they were still in for the fight no matter what the numbers were. MUSC took a lot of time to spread out and find their positions but it wasn’t long before they settled and Bryce Martin took the ball for a short run down the left side and scored in the bottom corner.
A few minutes before the half ended Dunsborough made a comeback when Jake Robinson Ellis scored.
As the second half began Mackillop were using their passing better and their strong defence led by Angus Johnston-Walker and skilled goalie Ryan Van Den Burg which kept them in the game. Sadly, the defence pushed too hard giving away a penalty to Dunsborough which Jake scored again.
The final scored remained 2-1 to Dunsborough which was incredible considering their numbers and also the strong opposition.
