Mystery maintain perfect start

Busselton 1 v GMAS 2

GMAS Mystery made it 2 from 2 with another hard fought win on Saturday. Played in great spirit and good conditions between 2 evenly matched teams it was a pleasure to watch.

Busselton came out strongly and had put a goal on the board through crisp passing and running onto the ball against a backline whose structure was too slow to react. GMAS reacted positively and were quick on the counter to put the pressure on the Busselton defenders. Sustained pressure from the attackers saw Lachie Gouma latch onto a parried shot to equal the scores after 20 minutes.

A great solo run from Gouma saw Taylah Burles put away an excellent cross to drill home a second for Mystery in the shade of half time.

Busselton regrouped in the second half to put goalie and player of the day Kody Stott under pressure with several great last line saves denying them.

Shots at both ends were saved or sprayed under pressure from stout defense and the score remained until the final whistle. Both teams are to be commended on an excellent game of foootball.
