SIGN UP: Entry Level 4 Referee Courses
The Level 4 Referee Course has been re-set for Saturday the 13th of June 2020 in Busselton
Anyone who wishes to attend needs to;
Step 1: Laws of the Game Certificate
In order to become a referee anywhere in Australia, all candidates must first complete the free online Laws of the Game (LOTG) Certificate, provided by Football Federation Australia. To access the site, please go to http://laws.myfootballclub.com.au and follow the instructions. This provides you with the basic introduction needed and gives you a better understanding of the laws of football. Even if you don’t want to become a referee, this free online course will help you explain why a free kick was given on the weekend. Please note that as the online course is provided by Football Federation Australia, all queries regarding the course should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please print this certificate once completed.
Step 2: Entry Level 4 Referee Course
Upon completion of the LOTG Certificate, candidates can then apply for a Level 4 Referee Course. This is the first official accreditation level for referees under the Australian Officiating Development Schedule, and successful candidates are then eligible to referee junior football matches.
Football West runs these courses in a classroom-style format over one day. Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age on the day of the course, and have successfully completed the LOTG Certificate (bring the certificate with you). The course cost is $100.00 per candidate.
Candidates are also required to complete Unit 1 as home study before attending, and bring with them to the course. These questions can be downloaded by clicking here.
