Girls Football Development News

An article from Stephen Suttie – South West Phoneix Womens Head Coach

Last night at South West Phoenix Womens training we had 4 x 14 year olds who have come through the LNJSA association in recent times. I think it’s a real credit to the coaching and development programs that LNJSA have in place which has allowed these girls to train and play at a high level. It’s exciting for me to be able to expose these girls to a high level of soccer. For example, this year Grace Miller has played against former Matilda Collette McCullum, former Perth Glory striker Stacey Learmont, and unfortunately injury prevented Grace from playing against NTC, who featured Perth Glory’s Leticia McKenna and Junior Matilda Hana Lowry.

I have attended a couple of Monday Night Girls Development Squad matches and I think it’s a fantastic initiative and watching the girls I think they absolutely love those games and being able to play together in a team like that.

Well done for all that the LNJSA are doing for the young girls in your region, as the girls are certainly benefiting from it in terms of their development as players.
